School Development and Improvement Plan

Our School Improvement Priorities 2025–26

At Muswell Hill Primary School, we are committed to high achievement, inclusion, and wellbeing for every child. Our School Development and Improvement Plan Year 2 sets out how we will continue to improve teaching, learning and leadership during 2025–26.

What We Are Focusing On

  • Raising achievement in writing and maths, especially for disadvantaged pupils and those with additional needs.
  • Developing confident, skilled leaders and teachers through coaching and professional development.
  • Strengthening inclusion, ensuring all pupils receive the right support in class.
  • Improving feedback, so children understand how to improve and become independent learners.
  • Expanding outdoor learning and sustainability education, including a Climate Action Plan.

What This Means for Children

  • Lessons that are better matched to individual needs.
  • Clear feedback that helps children understand how to improve.
  • Strong foundations in reading, writing and maths.
  • Opportunities to learn outdoors and develop responsibility for the environment.
  • A caring, inclusive school where everyone belongs.

Our Commitment

We already achieve results above national averages and are proud of our pupils. This plan ensures we continue to reduce gaps, support wellbeing, and prepare children for the future in a changing world.

 Haringey's New Education Strategy 2025-2028

Haringey’s new education strategy for 2025 to 2028 sets out a bold and inclusive vision to ensure every child and young person in the borough thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.

Developed in partnership with educators, families, and community stakeholders, the strategy applies to all children aged 0 to 19 and aims to create a more fair and high-performing education system.

It focuses on key priorities such as improving success, supporting transitions between educational stages, expanding pathways to success, and promoting wellbeing across all settings.

By embedding inclusion at its core, Haringey seeks to reduce exclusions, enhance support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and strengthen collaboration between schools and external agencies.

The strategy also aims to raise awareness and engagement, ensuring that families and professionals are informed and empowered to contribute to its success.
